Job Description

We are in the process of filling open positions for the combined company following CenturyLink's acquisition of Level 3 Communications. All qualified candidates who express interest by submitting an application to an open posting will be considered. However, based on business needs, preference may be given to internal applicants on certain positions. We still welcome, and encourage, all application submissions while we continue our integration process. Internal applicants are current, active CenturyLink employees, including Level 3 employees who have transitioned to CenturyLink as part of the acquisition.

Location: Tulsa, OK

Job Overview:

  • Managing a group of Sales Engineers.
  • Guiding a multi-state team to provide engineering and technical pre-sales support to CenturyLink sales teams.
  • Providing direction to the sales teams for solutions, as well as, the delivery and operational support for our business.
  • Directing and leading technical resources as appropriate in winning significant sales opportunities.
  • Serves as a coach and mentor to a group of pre-sales engineers.
  • Managing Sales engineering development through cross training, hiring, retention, and skills development programs.
  • Responsible for frequently presenting sales and engineering proposals
  • Managing the Sales Engineering workload and accuracy and timeliness of responding to customer and internal requests.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s Degree or equivalent education and 5-7 years of related experience.
  • Strong communication (oral and written), leadership, organizational, presentation, project management and team building skills.
  • Must be results focused and well versed in a broad set of network and IP products .
  • Ability to support/interact with large customers/accounts.
  • Must have a valid driver s license and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to travel as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master s degree in Business Administration or a telecommunications field.
  • 2 years previous Manager level leadership experience preferred.
