West Virginia University School of Medicine - Eastern Division is seeking a full-time Adult Neuropsychologist Assistant Professor at our Martinsburg, WV campus.

Primary duties include clinical time in outpatient clinic; teaching psychology interns, postdoctoral fellows, medical students, and residents; and clinical supervision. In addition, scholarly activities are highly encouraged.

Clinical responsibilities include evaluation of adult patients with a variety of medical, neurological, and psychiatric conditions, primarily in an outpatient setting. In addition to general neuropsychological assessment, this position offers an opportunity to work within an emerging interdisciplinary team (the Comprehensive Brain Tumor Program) involving neuropsychology, neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, and neuroimaging.

As part of this team, the neuropsychologist would conduct presurgical neuropsychological evaluations, participate in awake intra-operative cognitive mapping, and conduct follow-up neuropsychological assessments to provide individualized treatment options for patients. Additional opportunities to design and administer protocols to assist in pre-surgical planning and cognitive mapping for patients with other medical disorders (eg, epilepsy) are also available. Moreover, candidates interested in providing these services would have opportunities for education and training though consultation with the WVU Medicine campus in Morgantown, WV.

Our internship training program currently accepts 3 predoctoral psychology interns each year, with psychological/neuropsychological evaluations included as primary clinical responsibilities during the training year. There are also up to 3 postdoctoral fellows accepted each year, and opportunities for teaching and supervision are available based on a fellow's training and career goals.

Applicants must: possess a PhD or PsyD in psychology from an APA/CPA approved program, have completed a two-year fellowship in clinical neuropsychology, be licensed to practice Psychology in the state of West Virginia by the start date, and be board-certified or eligible for ABPP/ABCN board certification. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

Academic rank will be commensurate with experience. The position will remain open until filled. WVU offers a highly competitive and comprehensive recruitment package which includes occurrence-based malpractice.
