Job Description

Our client is a publicly-traded alternative technology company doing great things in space!

Responsible for accounting and reporting of revenue accounting transactions related to monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities. Maintain accounting schedules in accordance with GAAP and oversee the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations on a monthly basis. Maintain and develop processes and procedures that properly capture, track and report revenue, in accordance with the company's revenue recognition policy and the new ASC 606 standards. Maintain and develop processes and procedures in line with relevant internal controls and SOX requirements.


Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required.

Must have five plus years of relevant accounting experience including revenue recognition and financial close and reporting activities

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles of the United States (GAAP) and of the accounting implications of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

CPA highly preferred and experience from the new revenue recognition standard (ASC 606) preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and advanced skill in MS Excel.

Experience with accounting systems-specific experience with Oracle accounting systems highly preferred.
