Role Description
Solution Engineers present SaaS solutions and architecture in the best light to prospects and customers, to evoke confidence in the ability to solve business challenges, company's technology infrastructure, and removing all technical objections in the sales cycle. To accomplish this, the Solution Engineer must have a strong desire to leverage their technical and/or sales skills, including the ability to discover business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, configure and demonstrate the solutions that address these requirements and provide business value.
As part of the Salesforce Key enterprise business unit, we provide PaaS and SaaS cloud solutions to our most strategic customers. Were looking for exceptional candidates to join the Core Solution Engineering team. Among the extended team of pre-sales Solution Engineers the Core SE role requires the broadest amount of knowledge and highest level of business acumen because we are the closest to the account and customer requirements. Core SEs are the overall owner of proposed solutions, responsible for positioning of the entire product portfolio and experts in sales and customer service solutions.
Prior experience with Customer Relationship Management technology and enterprise selling in a customer-facing role is highly desirable. Oh, and dont forget those communication and presentation skills. They usually come in handy in our line of work. Finally, the ability to take complex pieces of technology and explain them in a simple and easy to understand way will seal the deal! If you believe you have these skills, we want to talk to you.
Responsibilities :
  • Own technical sales strategy and overall proposed SaaS solutions for enterprise accounts
  • Strong ability to lead business discussion and discovery sessions to uncover challenges
  • Map challenges back to the entire Salesforce product portfolio
  • Design, build, and demonstrate innovative solutions to address these challenges
  • Lead product specialists and extended technical team in building and presenting proposed solutions
  • Present overall value of Salesforce solutions to executive audiences
  • Effectively communicate the value of Sales technology infrastructure and system integration
  • Sales and Customer Service solutions expert
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with key technical decision makers
  • Participate in all appropriate product, sales, technical training and certifications to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position
  • Attain quarterly and annual objectives defined collaboratively with management
  • Active participation in a fast-paced high-energy market segment and balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.S. Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years experience as a solution/sales engineer for a CRM company or similar technology
  • Knowledge of relational database, web technology and system integration
  • Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to lead a cross-functional team to solve technical problems
