POSITION SUMMARY:
Execute the daily deployment of finished and semi-finished products from production facilities to distribution centers and between distribution centers in a cost effective and efficient manner. Execute deployment activities to maintain service levels, reduce inventory costs, and minimize distribution costs and spoilage. Additionally, Deployers are expected to ensure that inventory levels at factories, overflow locations, and distribution centers are managed according to distribution plans provided by planning. Deployers are responsible for resolving distribution plan, STO demand management and factory/DC/warehouse space planning related exceptions in the short term (1 to 10 day) horizon.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Execute deployment of finished goods from Nestl plants and co-manufacturers to Nestle distribution centers, in support of Nestle customer service and efficiency targets.
Deployers are responsible to monitor, adjust, resolve exception and execute distribution plans inside short term (1-10 day ) horizon. They will be supported by DRP Planners to help manage more complex exceptions (e. g. redeployment, spoilage decisions).
Pull and resolve deployment alerts through a rules-based and repeatable approach. Alerts may include late incubation release, loads in the past, in-transits in the past. Escalate and seek support where necessary from DRP planners and respective Deployment Supervisor and/or Manager.
Reconcile and confirm the dispatch plan. Receive and process inputs from DRP planners and adjust the dispatch plan where needed to account for redeployment decisions, possible spoilage, rebalancing inventory levels, production planning variance, or ageing of stock.
Deployer identify product exclusion, substitution, customer prioritization and allocation rules inside short-term (1-10 day) horizon only in an exception situation (ex. Demand greater than supply for discontinued product inside short term horizon). Deployers work with demand management specialist to update the business rules to ensure product freshness, spoilage avoidance and minimize salvage situations.
Develop deployment plan based on DRP Planner input/recommendations (where required). This may be driven by demand fluctuations, production changes, or QA holds.
Send DRP Shell/plan to factory deployment resources, where applicable and work with factory deployers to drop delivery notes
Resolve DC/Factory/Warehouse space planning, STO demand management related exceptions in the short-term (1-10 days) horizon
Create and optimize truckloads using system tools to maximize payload while maintaining target service levels. Determine where expedites/rush loads are required and communicate to Transportation Load Planners.
Create STOs and send to Transportation Load Planners. Coordinate timing for release with load planners where required.
Drop Delivery Notes for STOs.
Coordinate the deployment of semi-finished product (SFP) from Nestle distribution centers/contract warehouses to Nestle plants/co-manufacturers in support of plant master production schedules. (where applicable)
REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL:
College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Must have ability to work well with others and demonstrate desire to work in a team environment.
EXPERIENCE:
Previous supply chain work experience is preferred
Demonstrated experience working well with others
Demonstrated ability to focus with limited distraction and work in a fast paced
SKILLS:
1) Strong analytical and organizational skills, time management
2) Excellent verbal and written skills
3) Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office including excel and word
4) Familiar with SAP, preferred
