Position Description

The Drafter is responsible for incorporating field data into plant system drawings to support the safe operation and maintenance of the LNG terminal.



Position Requirements

Education:

Technical Certification or Diploma from an accredited 2 year college or university in Drafting is strongly preferred.

Skills/Qualifications:
A technical understanding of the Plant discipline including but not limited to P&IDs, PFDs components and characteristics of Plant material and data associated with LNG facilities.
Familiar with the daily maintenance of plant facility data, P&ID & PFD diagrams and all other related plant facility drawings.
Ability to interpret and incorporate as construction notes, pictures, sketches, isometric drawings, and redlines into facility drawings.
Experience with piping systems and related technical drawings.
Ability to create and update plant facility drawings and data using AutoCAD 2014, and database programs.
Proficient in manipulating and referencing multiple models into a single CAD drawing for design review and interference checking.
Ability to manipulate multiple X-Ref files.
Understands material nomenclature/specification, symbology, P&ID, piping, structural, etc.
Works with x-ref supported drawing files.
Develops drawings of various types: plot plans, orthographic, isometric, etc.
Works in a team environment with Lead Drafter, Operations, Project Managers, Engineers, and other Drafters across multiple disciplines.
Knowledge and ability to edit scanned drawings using AutoCAD Raster Design software.
Ability to work in both absolute and relative reference modes in a Linear Reference environment (ie stationing and coordinate based geometry).
Knowledge and experience using Windows operating systems.
Strong attention to detail in drafting and data entry.
Strong work ethic and ability to establish priorities, handle project assignments and work tasks with varying lead times and multiple steps to ensure all commitments are met.
Strong organizational skills and ability meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Assertive in pursuing and resolving difficult issues through solution providing.
Overtime occasionally required and expected to meet deadlines.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
Must maintain a high regard for personal safety, safety of company assets, employees, and the general public.
