This position will lead the Company's strategic sales projects effort by developing a strong network of container suppliers and delivery specialists to fulfill sales customers' needs and ultimately drive Company sales performance. In parallel, the position will work closely with the fleet group to ensure non-core assets are strategically sold to reach desired utilization targets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain a national network of container providers to ensure adequate supply and competitive pricing to meet our customer needs
  • Develop and maintain a national network of trucking providers to ensure timely delivery to our end customers in a cost-effective manner
  • Manage day-to-day strategic sales projects of Mobile Mini North America, including, but not limited to: container flip sales, non-core fleet, government, and custom units
  • Oversee the sales and dispatch functions, working with existing back-office infrastructure, to ensure all customer needs are met in a cost-effective manner
  • Collaborates with VP of Asset Management to strategically liquidate non-core assets at maximum margins
  • Strategy & Planning - develop plans to penetrate new and untapped markets, with a focus on planning and analysis of market opportunities
  • Accountable for building professional network in order to build a pipeline of business prospects
  • Implement and maintain sales lead generation tools (ie search engine optimization) to create and build a solid pipeline of online sales leads
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time overnight
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • For external candidates, minimum requirement is 3-5 years of sales project management leadership experience
  • For internal candidates, minimum requirement is 3 years of outbound sales experience with Mobile Mini
  • Strategy development for national growth and new channels within the United States
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Salesforce.com proficiency preferred
  • Strong leadership with excellent communication skills
  • Action oriented - takes on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
  • Ability to multi-task with high degree of attention to detail
  • Connectedness to both small and large business customers
  • Strong computer skills
