GLOBALFOUNDRIES Fab 8 is seeking a highly skilled and motivated engineer to become part of our state of the art 300mm factory in Malta, New York. This engineer will work in the Advanced Module Engineering Organization with a focus on Process & Equipment Control Systems and Methodologies. Key focus areas include: definition and deployment of world class methods to drive Mean-time-to-Detect & Respond (MTTD/R), Data Analysis to drive to best-in-class Variation, Line Yield, and Sort Yield, and partner with Module, CIM, and TDYE stakeholders to drive efficient systems for TD and High Volume Manufacturing. The individual will report to Fab 8 AME Process & Equipment Controls Management.

Specific Responsibilities include:

. Exemplify the GLOBALFOUNDRIES core values in work and behavior

. Participation in the strategic direction of the F8 Quality/Controls team, business process improvements, and project prioritization

. Use process modeling and data analytics techniques to identify Variation Reduction and Yield improvement opportunities throughout the manufacturing process with focus on: improving product yield, increasing process & equipment capability (process equipment control, fault detection, tool matching, smart sampling, and wafer risk exposure), and improving manufacturing efficiency (process throughput and cycle time)

. Partner with Module Engineering, Process Integration/Yield/CFM, Operations, and CIM/MT/IT to identify, communicate, and drive opportunities to fab management to help prioritize engineering resources and drive/deploy improvements to the factory floor.

. Work with fab management and engineering to drive all phases of project development including problem identification, modeling, programming, testing, deployment, continual improvement, documentation and testing.

. Work closely with teams from Advanced Module Engineering (AME), PI/Yield Engineering (PIYE), Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM), Manufacturing Technology (MT), and database and systems administrators (IT) using various systems (Statistical Process Control (SPC), Advanced Process Control (APC), Fault Detection and Control (FDC), Queue Time Systems and Real-Time Dispatching (RTD), and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to deploy initiatives resulting in improvement of Systems and Controls KPIs.

. Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications

. Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field of study, with a of 8 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing and/or relevant manufacturing environment

. Master's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field of study, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing and/or relevant manufacturing environment

. PhD Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field of study, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing and/or relevant manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

. Hands-on experience with E3 Automation Software

. Well versed in programming, computer systems, and databases and deep hands-on understanding of Control Systems such as APC, FDC, SPC, and Factory Operations (including Qtime controls & Yield Impact required for leading edge technologies)

. Expertise in one or more data analytic software (eg, Matlab, JMP, R)

. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, energetic, and self-starter, outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal as well as strong organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while able to react to shifting priorities to meet business needs.

. Strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistics.

. Familiarity with the semiconductor manufacturing processes, preferably with hands-on experience as Process or Equipment Engineer

. Individual must be well versed in all Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments. Individuals must be able to understand complex automated systems and human interactions

. Experience with factory database/data-warehousing methodologies

. Proficiency in high-dimensional data analysis approaches including one or more of the following techniques: principal component analysis, singular value decomposition, multivariate logistic regression, multiway ANOVA, and/or partial least squares regression.
