Eatons Power Delivery Division is currently seeking a SeniorManufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position is based at our Olean,NY facility. Relocation assistance is offered for this position.
Position Overview:
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will provideengineering and technical expertise for Maintenance of Line (MOL) supportingoperations & manufacturing in Product Line P47 (Switchgear). Aforementioned support will include project responsibilities with, at most, dailycoordination with cross functional staff and Operators. This position involvesinterfacing and collaborating with local engineering staff on mutualengineering projects, cost-out activities, efficiencies, etc. Responsibility tohelp set-up & maintain capabilities (layout, equipment, etc.).

In this function you will:
  • Support operations (products, processes,materials, etc.). Provide input on project budgets for implementing equipmentfor new products or revisions to existing products.
  • Help identify external trends forrelevant projects (interaction with vendors and suppliers) and developunderstanding of product application, new product opportunities, and marketstrategy. Identify and/or define performance requirements for product designsincluding documentation, analysis, testing, and interpretation of data for newand/or modified products or product components.
  • Prepare/review documents including costestimates, appropriation requests, project schedules, design and processdocumentation, and technical reports for the new product development.
  • Generate compile, summarize and report data,observations, conclusions and recommendations for evaluations. Perform failureanalysis, investigate and troubleshoot issues, coordinate all work within thescope and ensures projects objectives are met with limited supervision. Performstandard and non-standard testing sequences from setup to completion withlimited assistance.
  • Investigate and resolve operationalproblems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel. Participatein the development, maintenance and refinement of EQMS (Eaton QualityManagement System) related program.
  • Assist in activities related to thedevelopment of complex and multi-disciplined engineering projects, responsiblefor completing tasks &/or activities in an optimum manner and withinbudget.
  • Contribute to ZISC (Zero Incident SafetyCulture) by following safety practices and policies, identifying and minimizinghazards, and promoting a culture of safety.

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering from anaccredited institution required.
  • Minimum 3 years of engineeringexperience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work inthe United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in MechanicalEngineering from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with Stage Gate Processes(Six Sigma, DMAIC).
  • Lean manufacturing experience.
  • CAD experience, preferred.
  • SAP experience, preferred.
