Financial Leadership Program Manager - 29821

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is a challenging 24-month rotational program designed to develop leaders who will position Nielsen for growth while at the same time investing heavily in associates' growth holistically to set them up for success. The Finance track (FLP) is designed to expose associates to many aspects of corporate finance including: financial planning and analysis, controllership, pricing, treasury operations, decision-making, and risk management.

As the Financial Leadership Program (FLP) Manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of ~40 high potential associates. Through this program, you are building and maintaining a strong pipeline of Nielsen's future finance leaders.

Responsibilities as the FLP Program Manager:

  • Manage Global program spanning 4 continents with associates representing an average of 12 unique countries
  • Partner with Business CFOs and senior stakeholders to understand and prioritize business needs
  • Develop & execute recruiting strategies for full time (Global) and interns (US)
  • Source summer internship opportunities and oversee execution of 10-week program meant to serve as a pipeline for FT progra m
  • Manage centralized Global FLP budget ~$4.2M
  • Coordinate all program logistics including, but not limited to: relocation, travel, rotation assignments, committees, mentor assignments, etc
  • Review and refresh, as needed, all program professional development, including FLP Courses.
  • Provide regular feedback and coaching to associates to strengthen their business acumen, network, and professional maturity
  • Monitor & track the performance, progression and attrition of all FLP Associates
  • Partner with Program Managers from other Emerging Leaders Tracks to coordinate joint onboarding, graduation, and professional development
  • Maintain relationships and ensure success of Alumni
  • Collaborate with Business CFOs, HR, and senior stakeholders to identify and place FLP graduates in high-impact business roles

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related area or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of successful experience in Project/Program/People management, or equivalent experience in related field eg university recruiter, HRBP
  • Demonstrates skill and maturity to identify and interact with stakeholders, assess their needs, provide metrics and status reports as needed, and manage stakeholders' expectations
  • Ability to present an acceptable level of detail to any function or stakeholder, as needed, with both a strategic and tactical focus. Understands how to create effective presentations, visuals and outputs.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and effectively
  • Outstanding organizational/time management, presentation, written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to effectively build consensus within the team and among disparate stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and ability to directly and/or indirectly influence others
  • Ability to lead others through processes and shared responsibilities in a rapidly changing environment preferred

Travel Requirements

Up to 30-35% (Heavily weighted Sep-Nov)
