Cyber-security is one of the biggest challenges facing Internet of Things deployments across many verticals like Connected Cars, Industrial IoT (Smart Cities, Smart Factories, Surveillance, Healthcare, etc.), Connected Home devices etc. Micron is developing unique capabilities in its hardware devices to significantly enhance IoT device security and is bringing to market a full end-to-end solution with IoT cloud service/cyber-security software providers to ease and speed up market deployments.

In this role, you will own IoT Security software solution marketing and life-cycle management. This includes defining requirements for software solution components in line with Micron's strategy and in collaboration with verticals specific (like Industrial, Auto, Consumer) ecosystem partners and targeted customers. You will develop a software/SDK and tools roadmap to address market fragmentation and footprint needs, drive development of those software and solution packages leveraging internal and external resources, determine appropriate pricing and licensing strategies, and develop customer service models around those. You will lead software solution go-to-market activities, and software training to support regional marketing and FAE teams to effectively enable customers.

In this role, you will work very closely with hardware product line managers, security solutions architects, software development resources, application engineering and ecosystem marketing managers to have a holistic view of the program, strategy, pricing and business creation. You will also work with internal IT teams and manufacturing teams as needed to define and manage infrastructure needed for customer software and key management support.

Experience and Skills:
  • Business and technical background in end-to-end (cloud to end-point) cyber security solutions and technologies related to end-point device identity, health and life-cycle management.
  • Prior experience and working knowledge of hardware based security solutions like TPM, ARM Trust-zone, and other HSMs, and/or Internet of Things/Automotive security architectures will be a plus.
  • Good working understanding of PKI/key management solutions and certificate authorities, crypto techniques like RSA, elliptic curve etc. is necessary.
  • Proven skills in defining and marketing complex multi-party software solutions, developing and supporting new business, and software product life cycle management and driving small distributed development teams using agile methodology.
  • Commercial experience in software monetization practices, including customer and partner pricing and licensing models.
  • Past successful experience in driving early stage market and business development activities. Prior experience in participating and supporting Industry standards/consortiums/partnerships will be a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop complex technical and business strategies and ability to solve technical/business problems with limited direction.
  • Proven track record of working in a matrixed organization and ability to effectively influence multiple levels of sales, field and business unit marketing organization.
  • Prior experience in developing external communication materials and having worked with PR and Marcom is a plus

Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Good customer presence, presentation skills and communication skills. Be comfortable in dealing with senior-level customer execs both for business and system solution discussions
  • Strong skills in developing marketing positioning and value proposition materials to crisply communicate to customers and drive value based solution selling
  • Ability to analyze marketing data and understand macro and micro industry trends
  • Must be a strategic and out-of-the box thinker with excellent interpersonal skills, and relationship building abilities.
  • Detail-oriented personality, with the ability to track multiple customer activities and development project progress over time
  • Ability and willingness to travel, sometimes internationally, up to 20 percent of the time.
Education:

BS degree with minimum 12 years of experience, or MBA with minimum of 10 years of experience in related industry job in Marketing/Software product management, Technical Sales or Solution Architect
