We are currently recruiting for a Product Development Support Engineer within our Power & Industrial (P&I) Division in Louisville, KY. Reporting to the Group Product Development Manager the postion holder will be required to perform a variety of tasks which will include:

  • Creating 3D models/2D drawings in accordance with drawing requests from the Product Development team.
  • Issuing approved drawings/specifications to global vault and release associated PDF's.
  • Being the responsible owner of the manufacturing ERP databases associated with new product release and existing products.
  • Action all ECN's (engineering change notes) associated with released products.
  • Supporting NCR (non-conforming report) activities associated with released products.
  • Issuing released product technical updates to relevant manufacturing locations including Vault and ERP databases.
  • Supporting cost out activities on released products.
  • Supporting lean process improvements on released products.
  • Feedback lessons learned to Product Development team to support focused approach on new products.
  • Completing allocated project tasks within agreed timescales and to the required technical accuracy.
  • Being involved in departmental meetings and provide feedback as necessary ensuring a proactive approach.

Please Note: Global travel may be a requirement of this role, therefore a valid passport is required.

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant technical experience.

Experience

Essential

  • Preferred Lean Manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrate experience in a similar role producing drawings in line with technical specifications
  • Experience of AutoCAD and Inventor software packages
  • Experience of ERP systems (BoM creating/updating)
  • Experience of low volume manufacturing
  • Fully proficient with Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel etc.)

Desirable

  • Experience in industries such as oil and gas, marine and power generation.
  • To have worked for previous business involved in filtration products.

Skills

Essential

  • Confident with good communication skills.
  • Ability to multi task activites with shifting priorities.
  • Able to work productively in a pressurised environment.

Desirable

  • Able to perform hand calculations.
