The Global Investment Control (GIC) department directly supports Capital Group s investment professionals, implements investment decisions and facilitates the investment process. Operating from locations in North America, Europe, and Asia, core functions include order management, portfolio construction and compliance, trade support, corporate action communication and coordination, and Proxy services, among others. These services support the management of equity and fixed income portfolios for retail, institutional and private clients.

In addition, GIC supports enterprise wide initiatives and strategic objectives. One of these initiatives is developing new product offerings to make American Funds accessible to investors outside the United States. This effort continues to grow in scope as we introduce new funds and asset classes to the program and GIC has an evolving need to directly support the process.
