This important position is responsible for data analysis, integration, maintenance and reporting activities for multiple systems databases and the data warehouse.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responds to company-wide requests and publish reports that support business plan objectives, including, but not limited to customer retention and development, profitability, product opportunities, channel utilization, executive requests, business planning, regulatory reporting, stress testing, overall sales and marketing management support.
  • Ensures integrity and accuracy of the data in the database; researches and monitors data in the warehouse to maintain a high level of confidence for business decisions; maintains and documents reports and data sources.
  • Supports the integration of warehouse data into various bank operational systems.
  • Conducts ad hoc and scheduled classes on capabilities and use of the data warehouse system; provides direct access through the dashboard to approved users; acts as a help desk resource for active users; maintains own knowledge of the system as an expert user .
  • Acts as a backup for other database reporting needs and as a resource on other company databases and analysis needs.
  • Analyzes data to resolve complex business inquiries typically including the creation of various reports.
  • Manages service providers and vendors effectively; structures relationships with service providers in a strategic manner; sets expectations; develops performance metrics; measures vendor performance, provides feedback and holds accountable.

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience in third party software design is required.
  • Experience in third party database retrieval tools is required.
  • Experience in financial services or banking is preferred.
  • Experience banking data models and banking processes is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Proficiency with SQL Server and/or Oracle software is required.

Education & Experience:

  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.
  2. Certification: None.
  3. Years of experience: 5 to 7 years is required.
  4. Years of experience supervising: None.

Physical Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to lift, walk, stand, sit, bend, reach with hands and arms, climb, push/pull, use hands, and see, hear and speak.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
  • This position is performed in an office setting, five days a week with typical work hours being 8.30a through 5.15p. Able to work occasional overtime including weekends and evenings. Able to respond to cell phone, beeper and emergency situations.
