General Description

Calculates, posts business transactions, processes invoices, verifies financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records, and provides leadership in given areas to assist AP management.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Active leader of the Accounts Payable team.
• Assist AP management in indirect supervision, training, approval.
• Complete more difficult inventory reconciliation tasks.
• Review the work of other team members, including the approval of specific GL coding.
• Receive vendor invoices and code to appropriate general ledger accounts.
• Work with Distribution Center associates and Buyers to resolve discrepancies on invoices.
• Work with vendors to resolve discrepancies on invoices, including vendors that may be more difficult to reconcile and review.
• Responsible for the adherence of prompt payment of invoices.
• Ability to file paperwork and maintain an organized work atmosphere.
• Ability to maintain an excellent attendance record.
• Support and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Communicate with employees at all levels of the company.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

• 4-5 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear, audible, and grammatically correct manner.
