Salary Information:

This role starts at a base salary of $41,574.


About the Job:

In this role, you will report directly to the Executive Director of the Division of Youth Services and provide support to the Superintendents, PbS site Coordinators, Assistant Superintendents and Program Director s of the four (4) Juvenile Correctional Facility s within the Indiana Department of Correction. Responsibilities also include implementation and compliance with the Comprehensive Case Management System (CCMS) policy, implementation and compliance with the Performance-based Standards (PbS) program, implementing and evaluating evidence-based programs, facilitating the Juvenile Aftercare program and monitoring the Youth Incarcerated as Adults program.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows:

  • Serves as the Performance Based Standards (PbS) State Coordinator and the Community Based Standards (CbS) State Coordinator
  • Responsible for 4 juvenile correctional facilities compliance with Comprehensive Case Management Policy
  • Implement and Evaluate evidence based programs at the 4 juvenile correctional facilities
  • Coordinate and work with stakeholders to improve re-entry services for youth
  • Review, write and make recommendations for policy changes for Division of Youth Services
  • Ensure policies are implemented for DYS
  • Review and monitor the Youth Incarcerated as Adults program
  • Monitor length of stay for youth committed to the Division of Youth Services

  • Knowledge of Juvenile Aftercare and wrap around services

What You'll Need for Success:
  • Knowledge and skills to develop program goals and objectives
  • Knowledge and skills to develop and implement treatment programs
  • Knowledge and skills to research best practice programs and evidence based practice programs.
  • Thorough knowledge of the Comprehensive Case Management Process
  • Knowledge of Performance Based Standards and Community Based Standards
  • Knowledge and experience using data systems
  • Ability to work cooperatively, collaboratively with a variety of local community agencies
  • Ability to work productively without direct supervision and to manage time effectively

Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may serve as a team lead for an assigned work group.
