JIT) environment so equipment and tooling uptime is essential. The successful candidate should be able to work well with hourly maintenance and have a good working relationship with other departments within the plant. Working knowledge of broadcast, sequencing, MES, Visual Studio (C#) and SQL database software would be helpful.

Special Requirements: Must be able to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime.

Years of Experience: 5+ Years

Primary responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support of current model automotive interior manufacturing and assembly processes, tooling, and equipment

  • Support of computer-based error and part tracking software and systems

  • Resolution of quality and production throughput issues through structured problem solving processes

  • Continuous incremental improvement of cost and quality metrics

  • Interface with advanced engineering to implement proposed engineering revisions

  • Must work closely with maintenance team to support operations

  • Develop, Review and track maint level PM on all Injection molding machines, chiller, tower, and all other equipment in the IMM area.

  • Overall equipment ownership in IMM-Lead trouble shooter and interface with OEM of equipment

  • Maintain press repair tracking log

  • Maintain and update SWI for SMED and color change

  • Weekly review of press safety checks

  • Layout of work cell-Operator side

  • SW audit to endure proper training in reference to safety checks

Experience desired: Experience in working in a high volume manufacturing facility with error proofing software systems, preferably automotive. Specific experience in manufacturing assembly and plastic joining technologies such as sonic welding, vibration welding, and heat staking is required. Other processes and technical knowledge that would be useful include: injection molding, injection tooling, robotic programming, vacuum forming, and plastic Laser scoring for PAB applications, and stitching. Equipment specific experience can be gained while in the position. Injection molding experience in processing machines and supervision is required and tooling experience is preferred but not required
