We are currently seeking a Retirement Plan Administrator to administer our Retirement Savings Plan (a qualified defined contribution 401(k) plan). This position reports directly to our Director of Compensation & Benefits.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Enrolls new employees in retirement plans and provides benefits orientation; processes status changes and reviews requests.
  • Provides vendors with appropriate documentation for retirement plan enrollment, census, contributions, loan repayments and other information required for the vendor to effectively administer the retirement plans.
  • Prepares annual Summary Annual Reports, and reviews and updates Summary Plan Descriptions.
  • Prepares annual returns and reports as required by the federal government.
  • Completes requests for information from various government entities with respect to the benefit plans offered and provided by the firm.
  • Monitors federal, state and local laws pertaining to benefits and plan designs assuring firm compliance with federal and state rules and regulations.
  • Coordinates annual audit of retirement plan.
  • Prepares plan contribution calculations.
  • Prepares initial budget projections for retirement plan and administration.
  • Coordinates transfer of assets to/from the Plan, processes QDROs, rollovers, hardship distributions and Partner/Employee 401(k) monies.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who views partners and employees as valued customers. He or she will have the ability to focus on multiple projects at one time and ensure all deadlines are met.

We require a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university and at least three years of prior extensive, daily experience administering a defined contribution 401(k) plan as the sole or primary retirement plan in house administrator within an organization having at least 500 employees or a total of at least five years of such experience is required without the bachelor's degree. Will consider 401(k) plan work with third-party administrator (TPA) as satisfying part or all of the experience requirement.
