This highly technical and challenging position as a Senior Java Back End developer is responsible for developing integrations between systems as well as customizations to the applications. Expected to be a consistently reliable technical professional and work closely with other developers while executing at the highest level. Development responsibilities will encompass new logic/features, enhancements, and bug fixes/support.

Position Requirements

Formal Education & Certification

  • Bachelor Degree or foreign equivalent in related field or equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience

  • 5+ years of IT experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working on all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Experience working with customers to build and formulate business requirements.
  • 5+ years Web Application Development Experience in Java/J2EE environment including Java Server Pages (JSP), MVC frameworks, AJAX/JavaScript (JQuery), CSS, XML Technologies, and HTML.
  • 3+ years' experience with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) design pattern.
  • 3+ years' experience using source code version control (Git is preferred).
  • Experience creating Java classes that integrate with 3rd party APIs.
  • Experience in an Enterprise Relational Database Management System.
  • Experience with SOAP and/or RESTful web services.
  • Understanding of the essential business functions of an organization.
  • Experience testing, debugging, and diagnosing software bugs and system issues.
