Description:Position will be responsible for designing and implementing the software firmware, digital hardware components for DC, AC, Pulse, and Switch products including SMUs, DMMs, Pico Ammeters, Nano Voltmeters, IV/CV meters, and switches. Position will re-design, prototype, code and unit test product features and applications targeted to run on a variety of Keithley equipment. Position will be part of a released product engineering team but will also work directly with customers, marketers, applications engineers, manual writers, audit engineers, and MARCOM. Responsibilities:
  • Work with Engineering Manager to perform assigned development tasks and participate in setting project schedule goals and consistently meeting and exceeding those goals.
  • Gather and document product requirements. Ensure product suitability for targeted applications, manufacturability, profitability, ease of use and quality.
  • Implement solutions based upon stated goals.
  • Demonstrate ability to solve difficult problems of diverse scope in creative and practical ways.
  • Establish and maintain clear, concise, and complete design documentation that is modern, maintainable and transferrable.
  • Conduct and document design review meetings.
Qualifications :
  • A four-year technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • C or C++ programming language proficiency with excellent debugging skills
  • Knowledge of Real Time operating systems
  • Experience in using a Scripting language such as Python, Perl, or Lua
Desired Skills:
  • Experience interfacing to hardware peripherals and communication drivers such as TCP/IP and USB
  • Familiarity with Windows-based applications and Object-Oriented design.
  • Ability to work closely with Hardware and FPGA designers.
  • Experience with use of Test and Measurement equipment such as DMMs, Power Supplies, and SMUs.
  • Familiarity with JAVA programming.
