Job Description

Phoenix Mental Health, LLC seeks a full time medical receptionist/scheduler for their new Integrated Access Center in collaboration with Lighthouse Youth and Family Services. Medical scheduling, light medical billing and administrative assistant work experience is crucial. Preference given to those with private practice experience or outpatient behavioral health.


  • Serve as an ambassador for the practice as the first point of contact with patients, their family members or case workers seeking mental health services.
  • Schedule appointments, make reminder calls, manage patient and referral source paperwork.
  • Responsible for patient paperwork completion and import to system
  • Gather all information to provide billing resources for successful claims transmission
  • Answer and manage inbound telephone calls and referral paperwork
  • Develop and implement organized filing systems
  • Assist executive director in preparation of manuals, typing policies, scheduling inservice training, etc.



  • Previous experience in medical office setting, behavioral health outpatient setting or in medical customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prioritize
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
  • Must be respectful, compassionate, professional and pleasant
