Purpose of Role

As the co-pilot for the Global Engineering Leadership Team and the Global Engineering Director, this position is playing a key role in the Engineering@Mars strategy deployment, as well as the overall PMO effectiveness within the Global Engineering Team. In partnership with the Regional Effectiveness Managers and the Global Engineering Director the role is key for the deployment of our future Engineering Operating System.

Principal Accountabilities

  • PMO for the Global Engineering Team and the GELT (Global Engineering Leadership Team), making sure key priority reviews and action follow ups are happening.
  • Representative in the Global Engineering Leadership Team for the Deployment of our Engineering Operating System (EOS), bringing Engineering@Mars to life with standardization of signature processes and tools. Collaborate closely with the Regional Effectiveness Managers and the Global Process Champions for the Engineering Signature Processes.
  • Coordinate Global Dashboard and Communications processes for the GELT and the Global Engineering Team (eg Newsletter, Quarterly connects).
  • Coordinate central global composite project for the Global Engineering Team and collaborate with GTLs and S&F accordingly.
  • Key contact person for the central repository for Global Engineering, regarding to EOS, PMO of our team, Actiontracking and Communications Processes and General Templates

Context & Scope

  • Close alignment with the Global Engineering Director, the Regional Effectiveness Managers and Global Process Owners on the EOS, EM & Signature Process Deployment.
  • Permanent member of the GELT and Global Engineering Leadership Team as PMO for both Teams. Make sure escalations/actions are followed through.
  • Coordinate GE/GELT communication processes and Sharepoint/Knowledge Management processes with the action owners.
  • S&F & GE collaboration on necessary coordination for Composite Project.
  • Owner of all global templates for the GE team and the GELT for maximum effectiveness and value (scope template, review templates,…) in alignment with Regional Effectiveness Managers.
  • Mobility (moderate travel - 20-30% max.) is required globally.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Professional Qualification

  • Engineering Bachelor degree.
  • Project Management training
  • Good communication skills in English, both written as verbal.

Knowledge/Experience

  • 3-5 year experience as an engineer, of which ideally 1-3 years as a project manager
