Job Description

Job Summary

Role will assist Accounts Payable Manager with supervision of the team and vendor payment escalations

Job Responsibilities

  • Supervise the Compton accounts payable PO team of 2
  • Support the team including BPO with vendor issues and help resolve escalated supplier problems
  • Manage the balance of workload within the accounts payable team
  • Assist BPO team with standardization of Accounts Payable practices
  • Assist in a standardization of Accounts Payable practices and communication internally and externally
  • Assist in identifying and leading improvement initiatives
  • Train new accounts payable team members
  • Weekly processing of special vendor accounts
  • Generate daily payments via check and ACH for US and Canada
  • Manage audit requests
  • Responsible for 1099 reporting
  • Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned by Accounts Payable Manager

Skills & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance required
  • 6+ years of experience in Accounts Payable
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Concur T&E experience a plus
  • Demonstrated success identifying and improving processes
  • A successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills.
