Job Summary: The Front Desk Supervisor is an exempt position and reports directly to the General Manager. This position is responsible for the overall front desk operations and management of department's personnel. The Front Desk Supervisor acts as manager on duty for the hotel when necessary. The ideal manager is a seasoned and highly intelligent hotel professional with outstanding, management skills and extensive hands-on experience. Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

Safety and Security:

  1. Coordinates with local health, safety, fire, and building inspectors to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
  2. Recognizes, reports, and corrects conditions which may create security and safety hazards.
  3. Understands and adheres to policies and procedures for the hotel's key control and lost and found systems
  4. Wears appropriate personal protective wear as necessary while working
. Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  1. Ability to motivate and lead department
  2. Ability to multi-task and maintain organization
  3. Ability to manage time and exercise good judgment
  4. Ability to read, write, communicate and understand information effectively and professionally in English
  5. Ability to schedule, prioritize, and delegate workload
  6. Ability to operate electronic technology proficiently
  7. Ability to complete Brand required training within Brand specified timeframe
  8. Ability to obtain CPR certificate

Education and Experience:

  1. High school diploma/GED
  2. Three (3) years' experience in customer service, preferably in a hospitality setting
  3. One (1) year of prior supervisory experience
  4. One (1) year of experience in hotel front desk operations or related/prior work experience in a similar field

Physical and Environmental Conditions:

  1. Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19
  2. Ability to push/pull up to 200lb housekeeping cart
  3. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and be able to bend at the waist and stretch above the head

Due to the nature of the position, you may have an office, but can expect to standup and walk around the hotel majority of the time. Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting or training rooms, and residences. Use of safe work place practices is expected.
