Join us on this extraordinary journey, as we work together to transform our vision into reality.About the Team: Relativity is seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer to join the Mission Assurance and Vehicle Simulation (MAVS) Software team.

You will work with top talent from diverse industries and leading companies such as SpaceX, Google, Amazon to name a few. You'll play a key role in designing and building systems to configure and test our Terran-R rocket supporting our stakeholders including Avionics, Guidance Navigation and Control, Propulsion, Test and Launch Operations. MAVS team is at the forefront of driving Relativity Space towards our mission of a multiplanetary future, from changing how we manufacture rockets to how we fly them.

About the Role: As a member of the MAVS team will, you will design and implement our team's software consisting of:Hardware-in-the-loop test software infrastructureHardware-out-of-the-loop (Software-in-the-loop) test software infrastructureVehicle proxyVehicle configurationVehicle software deploymentYou will help build the systems that tie together the functions and interactions of all parts of the rocket, and provide the ability to rapidly iterate on designs. You will own modules of the team's systems, work as a cross functional member of the team on all systems, and bring your ideas to improve technology and development processes. You'll work alongside our stakeholders to configure and test simulated and actual hardware and gain insights to improve features, reliability, scalability and extensibility.

About You: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in software development; OR 5+ years in relevant production development experience.Advanced knowledge in one of the following with some familiarity of others: C+, Rust, Python, Java, Cdesigning and building high performance and extensible applications or servicesFamiliarity with containerization and deployment technologies like Kubernetes and DockerExperience with continuous integrationTenacious drive to find, fix and prevent issues through automated observability and detectionTrack record of planning and delivering projects on time to meet team objectivesNice to haves but not required: Experience with cloud services on platforms such as AWS, GCP or AzureExperience developing RESTful frameworksExperience with front end framework like React, Angular or VueExperience working with simulated and emulated hardwareRelativity Space offers competitive salary and equity, a generous vacation policy, an annual L&D stipend and more! The below-range represents Relativity Space's current good-faith pay scale for this role. Relativity Space reserves the right to modify or update this range at any time.Compensation is only one part of our entire total rewards package.
