The ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective field(s), possess the ability to learn quickly, and excel within a fast-paced environment.The Role:- Drive advancements in welding technologies.

- Lead verification, qualification, and optimization of welded joints.- Develop non-destructive welding test processes and certification plans in compliance with appropriate standards and codes at the coupon and assembly level.- Author material and process standards for different welding techniques (spot welding, laser welding, GMAW, FSW, etc.).

- Troubleshoot, root cause, and implement sustainable corrective actions.- Provide guidance to design engineering and manufacturing to ensure the implementation of proper joining technologies and weld quality.- Coordinate CAE and physical validation testing of welds.Qualifications:- Min.

5 years of experience as a welding engineer (including practical experience in product design and development).- Ability to relate process-structure-property relationships in metallic materials to weld parameters and quality.- A proven track record in state-of-the-art structural joining solutions for automotive body-in-white.

- Working knowledge of structural welding methods and practices.- In-depth understanding of property evaluations using a first principles approach.- Hands-on experience with standard material laboratory equipment and welding test procedures.

Education:- BS/MS in Welding/Materials Engineering or other relevant fields.Preferred:- PhD in Welding/Materials Engineering.- Experience with Catia V5/V6 is preferred but not essential.
