We are creative, disciplined, hard-working, complex-problem solvers that believe in collaborating to deliver the highest quality customer experience.BE PART OF THE CONNECTION As a Principal Data Engineer II on the Core Data Platforms team, you will work with Snowflake, AWS services, and a variety of data pipelines that ingest, transform, load, and process large data sets and data streams.

You will create and maintain scalable, reliable, and performant data systems that support data operations and data engineering for many groups within Charter by receiving, processing, and monitoring raw data at scale through scripts, coding, APIs, SQL queries, et cetera. Deliverables include the creation of new data products and profiles of data that measure quality, integrity, accuracy, and completeness of workflows. Success in the role requires managing the data lifecycle at scale of multiple data sources and increasing the speed to delivery by implementing automated workload and data workflow solutions.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUMRequired QualificationsExperience:Hands-on working experience with RDBMS, SQL, scripting, and coding - 10+Experience delivering one major system where candidate was responsible for designing the architecture, implementing, operating, and supporting - 10+Experience in maintaining and managing production-level data systemsEducation:Bachelor's degree or computer science or engineering, analytics, or data science disciplineOngoing learning demonstrated through certificates from professional studies, MOOCs, seminars, online courses, and any other deliverable mechanismTechnical Skills:E Broad coding/scripting experience using Python, Perl, shell scripts, etc. Extensive experience with SQL in on-premises and cloud environments using MySQL, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, or Teradata. Experience with other database and data store technologies, such as NoSQL, key-value, columnar, graph, and document Broad experience importing, exporting, translating, cleaning, and managing a wide range of file types, Broad experience creating and lifecycle-managing production-level Python scripts Expertise in data storage and/or data movement that demonstrates knowledge of when to use files, relational database, streaming, or NoSQL variantExpert with Microsoft Office applications or Linux/macOS equivalents and as a self-sufficient user of Windows, Linux, and macOS desktopsSkills:Well organized with a keen attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritize and execute multiple tasks Productive in a virtual and on-premises environmentAbilities:Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
