With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is seeking a Principal Air Quality Engineer to join our Sustainable Operations team, in any of the following offices: Denver, CO; Tampa, FL; Chicago, IL; Indianapolis, IN; Baton Rouge, LA; New Orleans, LA; Detroit, MI; Novi, MI; Minneapolis, MN; Hillsborough, NJ; Columbus, OH; Wexford, PA; Austin, TX; Houston, TX; Seattle, WA; and Milwaukee, WI.

This job can also be performed remotely from a location that is within driving distance to any Arcadis US office. This will be a hybrid/remote role with occasional visits to client sites. Sustainable Operations (SO) is an area of our business that is growing rapidly and is a priority in our global strategy and an area of heightened focus and investment in our current strategy cycle.

SO services includes Air Quality Permitting and Compliance, Environmental Due Diligence, Environmental Compliance and Assurance, Safety Compliance and Assurance, Digital EHS&S, Industrial Hygiene, and Product Stewardship.In this role, you will work directly with key clients and lead Air Quality projects and teams working on air quality permitting, sustainability, reporting, and compliance projects in support to our key clients. You will be responsible for drafting client proposals and managing the execution of projects such as emissions inventory development and reporting, air permitting and compliance support, greenhouse gas emissions calculations and/or air dispersion modeling.

You will drive technical skills development and knowledge share to stay leading edge in Air Quality. You will be a key member to drive innovation and build strong technical communities within the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Space. Role accountabilities:This role includes interfacing with clients, preparing proposals and managing the execution of a wide variety of air quality services for clients in industries such as manufacturing, automotive, chemical, transportation, and oil and gas. While your project focus will be air quality, you will have the opportunity to participate in other environmental compliance projects such as multi-media compliance auditing, water quality/permitting and waste management.Engage people and partners to meet client needs and innovate new solutions.

Support client and business development with a focus on expansion of key clients. Apply your knowledge of federal and state air quality regulations to prepare or manage the preparation of air permit applications such as Permits-by-Rule, minor NSR, FESOP, Title V, PSD (and PSD avoidance), and Non-Attainment NSR (and NNSR Avoidance).Join Arcadis' air team leadership to ensure application of regulatory knowledge, analytical techniques, and mentorship of junior staff.

Manage and/or oversee emissions calculations for regulated air pollutants and greenhouse gases to be included in reporting such as emission inventories and Toxics Release Inventories.Support or manage large, complex or specialized projects to deliver high quality, on time, on budget project deliverables. In this role you must be willing to travel up to 10-20% for project and client needs which may include single overnight trips.
