The Head of Product Development, Tennis Channel DTC will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of Tennis Channel's Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) product development initiatives. The Head of Product Development will play a critical role in building a customer-centric digital organization and shaping the direction and vision of the DTC product roadmap.

This individual will lead a talented team of product managers, designers, and engineers to create innovative features that enhance our streaming DTC platform, ensuring an unparalleled tennis experience for our subscribers. Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Strategy and Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product strategy aligned with the company's goals. Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities for growth and innovation.

Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and concept development to launch and post-launch analysis. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and enhancements.User Experience: Champion the user experience by conducting user and competitor research, gathering feedback, and collaborating with design teams to create intuitive and engaging interfaces.

Strive for excellence in usability and customer satisfaction.Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including Content Production, Marketing, Content Operations, Distribution and Customer Support, to align product development with overall business objectives. Foster effective communication and collaboration between teams.

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional team of product managers, designers, and engineers. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, promoting teamwork and individual growth.Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics and user insights to make informed decisions, optimize features, and drive user engagement.

Implement A/B testing and other methodologies to measure the impact of product changes. Establish product KPIs and report progress against goals.Compliance and Security: Stay informed about industry regulations and security standards related to streaming services and consumer data.

Ensure that the product complies with legal and security requirements.Key QualificationsBachelor of Science and 10+ years of experience preferredLeadership qualities to motivate and guide a team of designers, developers, engineers, and other stakeholders. Ability to inspire and drive the team towards common goals.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including content, marketing, design, engineering, and customer support. Ability to bridge communication gaps between technical and non-technical team members. Ability to articulate product visions, requirements, and updates clearly to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Flexibility and adaptability to navigate a rapidly changing industry landscape, adopt new technologies, and pivot strategies based on market demands and user feedback.Deep understanding of the streaming industry, including trends, competitor analysis, and emerging technologies. Awareness of content licensing, copyright, privacy, and data security, distribution models, and revenue streams specific to SVOD services.

Ability to empathize with users, conduct user research, analyze user behavior, and translate insights into product improvements. Strong focus on enhancing user experience and satisfaction.Knowledge of content acquisition, curation, and production processes.

Ability to identify popular genres, audience preferences, and content consumption patterns to curate a compelling content library.Proficiency in data analytics and interpretation. Skill in using metrics and user data to identify trends, evaluate feature performance, and make data-driven product decisions.

Experience in managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation and conceptualization to launch, iteration, and eventual retirement. Proficiency in Agile development methodologies.Creative problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.

Capacity to envision and develop innovative features and services that differentiate the SVOD platform from competitors.Understanding of business models, revenue streams, and pricing strategies within the SVOD industry. Ability to align product strategies with overarching business goals and financial objectives.

Strong project management skills to coordinate and prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver products on schedule. Proficiency in tools like JIRA, Asana, or Trello.Familiarity with the following Collaboration and Project Tools and streaming technologies: JIRA, Basecamp, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Confluence, Figma,Balsamiq, GitHub, Google Analytics, HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH), MPEG-DASH, Secure Reliable Transport (SRT), H.
