Controls Engineer

Controls Engineer Applicants' primary responsibility would be designing automated systems for machine tools. This entails using PLC control equipment, motion control equipment, safety control equipment, vision systems, sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics, network communications.

These systems help our customers become more efficient and profitable. Entry level to mid-level candidates preferred. JOB DESCRIPTION Design control systems based on mechanical design and intent Troubleshoot electrical and control systems through phone support.

Must be able to set up and design control panels for automation Must update program backups for automation Layout and design electrical controls to NFPA safety standards. Working understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics. Reprogram equipment for engineering changes and improvements.

Experience with PLC logic and controls Edit and maintain electrical schematics and drawings for existing product using CAD drawing software QUALIFICATIONSCandidates possess 2 to 5 years' experience in the following or equivalent education: Experience with electrical drawings and schematics a must Experience with Servo Control, Hydraulics Systems and Mechanical design. Experience with PLC Ladder Logic (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Direct Logic) Motion and safety controls experience preferred Ability to read, interpret and create electrical schematics with CAD type software, AutoCAD or Drawing Software experience preferred Robotics knowledge or experience is a plus Must be able to set up and design control panels for automation Must be able to provide customer support and troubleshoot equipment by phone or in person when applicable. Willing to travel up to 10% for technical support Proficient in Microsoft Office High School Diploma or GED a must; some college preferred.
