Collections Specialist (Full Time)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio Country: United States of America
 

Cleveland downtown law firm is Cleveland is seeking a Collections Specialist due to company growth.

  • Reconcile accounts receivable to ensure accurate posting of cash receipts and cash adjustments in accounting system when necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports, analysis and reconciliations for management and clients.
  • Respond to partners and client inquires regarding account balances in a manner promoting good customer relations. Prepare correspondence as required.
  • Work proactively with all parties internally and externally in resolving client disputes or reasons for non-payment.
  • Assist with the monitoring of aged and delinquent accounts.
  • Participate in credit analysis of potential new and current clients by reviewing D&B transactions and other external records, as well as internal snapshots of historical payment records.
  • Deliver reports as required to Credit and Collections Manager on status of accounts.

5+ years of legal collections experience. This is not a high volume or call center collections position. Strong negotiation and decision making skills in addition to highly developed communication skills, interpersonal and customer service skills is required.
