Assistant Program Director (Full Time)

Location: Columbus Ohio Country: United States of America

Qualifications for Assistant Program Director are as follows:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Human Services field from a four year college or university
  • Must qualify for the Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) designation
  • Three years related experience and/or training with individual with developmental disabilities
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in a team environment
  • Proficient with email, and Microsoft Word, Excel and Access

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares, reviews and approves various staff schedules
  • Reviews time sheets for designated staff
  • Reviews call-ins, to determine staffing needs and approves DCA overtime
  • Coordinates Individual Assessment Forms (IAF's)
  • Maintains regulatory compliance as assigned
  • Supports all three shifts to maintain continuity of programs and care
  • Coordinates activities between the Program department and outside organizations
  • Presents information related to the program department in new hire orientation
  • Serves on designated committees
  • Conducts and/or participates in assigned meetings
  • Prepares/maintains training manuals and checklists
  • Functions as Program Director in absence of Program Director
