A Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer is sought by a Software Company, paying up to £50,000 + benefits, based in Wimbledon, London.

A Fintech software company is looking for an experienced IT Helpdesk Engineer with extensive windows desktop, application support and helpdesk experience to join their IT operations team. Their end user platform consists of tools such as O365, Azure AD, Duo Security, Zoom, Slack, Confluence and JIRA, and they are moving to an Azure managed Workstation user deployment solution, deploying technologies like Azure AD join, Intune, Autopilot to accelerate their ability to deploy new locations and offer remote workers a best in class user experience.

As a Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer, your role will involve:

  • To ensure tickets are triaged, resolved or escalated within SLAs.
  • Improvement to operating system build processes and user environment.
  • Delivery, operations and management of platform security, including networks and endpoints.
  • Creation and automation of documented IT procedures and processes.
  • Managing data security on the network via access control and encryption schemes.
  • Secure management of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and collaboration platforms.

Key technical skills involved in this Senior IT Helpdesk Engineer role:

  • Understanding of how to automate tasks within the automation platforms.
  • Creation of Powershell scripts and SCCM task sequences.
  • Microsoft platforms including Windows Server 2012r2/2016/2019 and Windows 10.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI stack.
  • Secure usage of Active Directory.
  • Office 365, Amazon Web Services or Azure.
  • Understanding of the use of version and source control systems.
  • Working knowledge of at least one configuration management system - eg SCCM, Puppet, Chef or Ansible.
  • Administration and operation of a service desk tool like JIRA Servicedesk.
