Technical Author - Insurance Company

World Wide Technology EMEA has an opportunity available for a Technical Author, supporting IT Infrastructure Transformation Projects, to support our client, a multi-national company within the Insurance industry.

Position

    • Our client is investing in a range of infrastructure consolidation, upgrade and improvement transformation activities
    • The focus of your role will be to work as a Technical Author supporting the creation and review of all relevant documentation artefacts
    • The successful candidate must have experience in a similar role specifically within IT infrastructure and related technologies and related operational processes
    • The candidate must work in a highly collaborative manner across the organisations global IT team
    • The role will include supporting our client in defining appropriate documentation standards and additionally supporting process improvement as it relates to standards management
    • Documentation requirements included both technical standards and operational process related documentation
    • Technical specialism in a related area will be beneficial to the role

                Responsibilities:

                • Responsible for reviewing and improving all existing documentation artefacts
                • Creation of new documentation artefacts
                • Development of standard documentation processes ie change/version control, review and approval etc
                • Implements engagement review and quality assurance procedures in accordance with our methodology to ensure profitable and successful execution of consulting engagements as measured by regional goals and customer satisfaction
                • Manages day-to-day client interaction and expectations for multiple or large-scale projects
                • Minimizes risk across multiple projects
                • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
                • Manages and analyzes profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization across projects
                • Reviews high-level deliverables across projects
                • Manage 3rd party vendors as well as internal Matrix teams across EMEA and US
                • Adhere to the strict change control processes of the client
                • The applicant must demonstrate comparable experience working at scale in a Global environment

                Requirements

                • Extensive experience of delivering technical documentation as part of major change programmes
                • Must have relevant experience in a Global organisation
                • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
                • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work proactively across senior management and technical stakeholders to obtain access to information to enable documentation delivery
                • Excellent client facing skills
                • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
                • Flexible approach to working hours
                • An appreciation of Security, Compliance and Risk considerations as they relate to solution design, implementation and operation within global organizations
                • Strong familiarity with infrastructure technology
                • University degree or college diploma in a relevant field
