About you

Are you a people person, committed to the principles of dementia friendly communities?

Are you inspired at the idea of enabling people affected by dementia to access information and support, participate in stimulating sessions and connect with people who share similar experiences? If the answer is 'yes' the Herefordshire team has a role for you. As Group Coordinator you will plan, organise and facilitate groups which aim to inform, educate, and support those affected by dementia. Currently the role is running Dementia Cafes and working closely with the Singing for the Brain Group Coordinator, providing cover for annual leave/training etc.

You will have an NVQ level 2 or equivalent and the skills and experience to:
  • communicate effectively with people affected by dementia and all stakeholders
  • engage and involve participants in the design and delivery of group sessions
  • organize and facilitate groups
  • maintain and monitor quality
  • co-ordinate and role manage volunteers
  • liaise with statutory and voluntary organizations
  • Update the Computer Record System
