Claims BI Lead (Permanent)
Location: London Country: UK Rate: Up to £110k per annum
Eames is partnered with a large global insurer operating in the general and international insurance markets who are recruiting for a Claims BI Lead to identify trends, define and monitor KPIs and create sophisticated predictive trends.
This is a London/hybrid role. You'd work from home 2 - 3 times a week. The salary for the role is circa £110,000 dependent on experience plus bonuses and benefits.
The role:
- Assist in developing the data strategy for EMEA claims, including strategic projects and data reporting, and oversee automation and development of dashboards, reports, and trend analysis.
- Establish a strong understanding of IT data sources, ensuring data validity, and build sustainable relationships with Claims Handlers, IT, Data, actuarial departments, and other key internal teams.
- Deliver statistical analysis to identify performance improvement opportunities and provide MI/BI training on systems and digital innovations.
- Uphold ethical and service standards, demonstrate flexibility, agile mindset, teamwork, lean & 6Sigma principles, and actively pursue self-studies to maintain knowledge.
The candidate:
- Proficiency in SQL, statistical modelling software (eg, R, Python), Excel (advanced), Qlik Sense or Power BI gained in an analytics role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, translating detailed reporting outputs and statistics into executive-level reports and presentations, and articulating their implications for business decisions.
- Exposure to using operational MI to achieve business targets and improve performance; strong project management and organization skills, with experience managing technical staff preferred.
- Very strong analytical thinking, anticipating future trends, developing hypotheses, and explaining complex matters simply to stakeholders; entrepreneurial mentality and ability to lead meetings under tight deadlines
