Contracts Specialist - day rate - Reading (Contract)

Location: Reading, Berkshire Country: UK Rate: £300.00 - £362.00 per day
 

The Procurement recruitment division here at McGregor Boyall are actively looking to hire a Contracts Specialist for a 6-month day rate assignment inside of IR35.

This is a hybrid role and will require the post-holder to have own transport to access the offices near to Reading up to 3 days per week.

Below is an overview of some of the responsibilities within this contract:

. Getting up to speed with the clients contracting requirements and helping to shape the Operations team's contracting initiatives, ensuring suitable compliance is carried out.
. Participating in industry related business projects that involve contracting.
. Liaising with Legal Teams on standards & contracting specifics, including supporting the deployment of new contract templates.
. Working with the relevant market managers to implement source-to-contract processes to ensure delivery of business plans and strategies.
. Participating in some aspects of the full sourcing process which include development of scope, contract writing, and contract execution.
. Selecting the correct contract templates for use in creating a contract, being able to use the templates appropriately, and amending clauses where necessary.
. Ensuring local contracts comply with master/global agreements.
. Ensuring appropriate engagement with SMEs when negotiating specific contract content,
. Undertake training sessions for internal stakeholders on contract clauses.
.Liaise with suppliers to support internal stakeholders with complex contract negotiations.

To qualify for an immediate interview, our client requires the following experience:

. Strong knowledge of contracting processes, tools and systems ideally with Direct experience in the supply sector, as well as a strong understanding of critical clauses, terms & conditions.
. Contracting practitioner knowledge - either a legal or procurement background. (both is advantageous)
. Excellent stakeholder management and engagement skills with ability to engage with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the organisation across different worldwide regions.
. A track record of delivering and supporting sourcing processes and services in a complex blue chip global organisation, ideally within a procurement function dealing with large budgets.
. Ability to prioritise personal tasks and assist others with managing their workload.
. Graduate or equivalent qualification/experience.

You will be able to start a contract at very short notice and MUST have the ability to travel to site up to 3 days per week (own transport is essential)
