IO Associates is looking for a Technical Supervisor for client revolutionizing the future of chemistry by digitizing the field, enabling instant access to molecules, drugs, and materials previously unimaginable

Job Purpose:
The Technical Supervisor will support the Operations team in efficiently executing critical laboratory research, development, and manufacturing tasks. They will oversee and provide technical guidance to Production Chemists, ensuring high-quality, reproducible, and safe chemical manufacturing and data acquisition. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, ambitious, and adaptable, ready to contribute to the company's success in various capacities as needs evolve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the Operations team
  • Oversee setup of automated chemical reactions on platforms like Curie, Franklin, and Lovelace
  • Establish and maintain best practices in collaboration with the Head of Laboratory Operations, including drafting SOPs
  • Maintain standards of laboratory housekeeping
  • Collaborate with R&D chemists to assimilate specific knowledge and transfer it to the team

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or related field
  • Strong operational background in a technical discipline OR PhD in organic synthesis with 2+ years industry experience, preferably in medchem or CRO
  • Strong work ethic, time-keeping, and safety consciousness
  • Enthusiasm for adopting new approaches and concepts within a laboratory environment
