Test Manager (Contract)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £550 - £600 per day + Inside IR35
 

Gibbs Hybrid are supporting a top financial services client in their search for an experienced Test Manager for a contract with a top financial services organisation.

Skill Set: Test Management, Test Leadership, Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills

Required Experience with Technologies: Windows, Linux, Middleware Applications (MQ, DB2, SQL, WAS)

Day rate: £550 - £600 per day (inside)
Location: Remote with key meetings in Central London - ad-hoc
Length of contract: Initial 6 months with further extensions likely

Job Description:
* Proficient in Test estimation and resource allocation for all test phases.
* Manage test deliverables across all test phases.
* Coordinate project/program schedule within Microsoft Project plan.
* Provide escalation point for test team to project/program leadership.
* Ensure test environment and software meet entry criteria for each phase.
* Ensure compliance with all entry criteria for each test phase.
* Interface with Test Leads, especially across different organizational units.
* Minimum 15 years of test management experience, including at least 5 years on infrastructure projects.

Test Reporting:
* Produce and distribute daily and weekly test status reports.
* Review and approve test status reports before distribution.
* Ensure reports reach appropriate stakeholders.

Defect Management Process:
* Schedule regular defect triage meetings.
* Ensure correct attendees are invited and attend.
* Review attendee list and invite additional teams/roles as needed.
* Test planning, including Test Strategy development, and re-planning for all phases.
* Lead day-to-day activities of test team(s).
* Develop Test Execution Plan, incorporating environment and data requirements.
* Manage test execution to remain on schedule.
* Early identification and escalation of issues and risks to Project Test Manager/Project Manager.
* Review and approve test status reports before distribution.
* Coordinate with other teams for specific testing requirements or support.
* Coordinate with other teams to understand testing results.
* Test preparation, execution, and defect reporting.
* Manage defect life cycle from identification to resolution.
* Attend workshops for design, UI, and Use Cases.
* Minimum 8 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in infrastructure testing.
* Minimum 3-4 years of Testing experience in Windows, Linux, VMware, and Middleware (MQ, DB2, SQL, WAS).
* Minimum 3-4 years of Testing experience in Security and Monitoring domains.
