AWS DevOps + Kafka engineer (inside IR-35) (Contract)

Location: London, United Kingdom Country: UK Rate: £300 - £325 Daily Inside IR-35
 

Job Title: AWS DevOps + Kafka Engineer.

Location: Hybrid Working, London 1-2 Days per week.

Job Type: Contract

We have an urgent requirement for an AWS DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in the Kafka platform. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance Confluent Kafka platforms in both on-premise and AWS Cloud environments.

Required Skills:

  • In-depth experience with AWS Cloud Platform Core Components: EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, KMS, Cloudwatch, SQS, SNS, AWS Secret Manager
  • Experience with Terraform and Ansible
  • Proficiency with Apache Kafka and Confluent platform
  • In-depth knowledge of Kafka Architecture
  • Hands-on experience with Unix Shell Scripting, Python, Docker, Jenkins, Kerberos, SSL/TLS, Active Directory
  • Experience with Packer, Harness, Grafana Prometheus; knowledge of PCI compliance is a plus
  • Experience with Redhat Linux is a plus
  • Experience with resolving vulnerabilities and securing AWS infrastructure is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance Kafka clusters in both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Develop and maintain Kafka connectors to integrate with various data sources and sinks.
  • Optimize Kafka configurations to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Kafka-related issues, including cluster performance, data loss, and data consistency problems.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and manage Kafka deployment using Harness or similar deployment tools.
