Azure Solution Architect - Outside IR35 - Banking

My client is looking for an Azure Solution Architect for a 4 month contract - Outside IR35.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining cloud architecture, ensuring alignment with technology and business strategies.

Candidates should have experience in the banking industry, with a deep understanding of financial regulations, security, and compliance requirements.

This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business needs into technical solutions, leveraging Azure services and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on the Azure platform to meet business requirements in the banking sector.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and external partners, to define cloud architecture and technology roadmap.
• Ensure solutions adhere to industry regulations and standards, including security, privacy, and compliance (eg, GDPR, PCI-DSS, and other financial regulations).
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct architectural reviews and ensure best practices in cloud architecture and design are followed.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.
• Develop and maintain documentation for cloud architectures, procedures, and configurations.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services.
• Mentor and train junior team members, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Experience:

• Experience as a Solution Architect, focused on Azure cloud solutions.
• Proven experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of banking operations, financial products, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in Azure services and technologies, including but not limited to Azure DevOps, Azure SQL Database, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure Active Directory.
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Terraform, or Ansible.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant Azure certifications, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, are highly desirable.

Skills:

• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Knowledge of other cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with data analytics and machine learning solutions in Azure.

This is a 4 month contract, Outside IR35 where you will be required to work Hybrid, with 1 to 2 days a week in the office in Central London.

The rate is £600 a day Outside IR35.
