Logistics Manager - up to £100,000 - WFH with travel - Warehouse, Freight and Logistics management

Lynx Recruitment is working with an International IT business who are looking to add a Logistics Manager to their division in the UK/EU. My client would be looking for someone who has worked in Logistics Manager role before at an IT business but are open to other industries.

As the Logistics Manager you will supervise the movement, distribution, and storage of supplies and materials with the company. This role will be tasked with planning routes, analysing budgets, and processing shipments.

Essential Functions for Logistics Manager role:
- Plan a freight strategy for the UK and EU with top freight partners
- Manage shipping processes from and to UK/EU post-Brexit
- Develop freight plans for each route/zone, optimized pricing, and route ETA
- Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure alignment
- Manage warehouses inventory and generate reports
- Coordinates closely with the configuration and service engagement teams to ensure on-time delivery of builds.
- Develop the logistics-relevant processes
- Ensure full documentation, reporting, communication, and visibility internally and to the customer on PODs, tracking and escalation issues
- Monitor and manage budgets
- Select carriers for transportation and negotiate rates and contracts with carriers
- Respond to and resolve complaints and problems
- Keep up-to-date on shipping carriers, routes and rates, and any changes to them
