Our client is expanding and are looking for an experienced and dynamic sales professional, who can deliver measurable success. Their ideal candidate is highly motivated, an excellent communicator, can work well within a cooperative and friendly team as well as being able to work on their own initiative.

The primary focus of the role is to find and drive qualified leads into the sales pipeline. This position will be based at their office in Central London. As a business development representative, it's your job to set up appointments and find potential clients for the sales team.

You're the first step in the prospecting process, and sales teams rely on your persuasive abilities and creative methods of finding potential customers. Your primary tool is usually the telephone, though you may also find new business through email and social media campaigns.

Key Responsibilities;

Research & Lead Management

  • Manage, nurture and convert inbound leads into sales opportunities
  • Identify strong potential prospects using initiative and creativity, to generate outbound lead opportunities
  • Research, assess and analyse prospects' current processes and requirements
  • Provide engaging and articulate information about the value proposition to potential customers
  • Maintain well organised, up-to-date and accurate sales information and activity reports in Salesforce CRM system

Communication

  • Demonstrates ability to interact professionally with potential customers via phone, email, telephone conferencing and webinars to discover their business needs and develop a positive business relationship;
  • Work closely within a small sales & marketing team, develop cooperative working relationships with all company colleagues
  • Proficient in the use of social media tools like LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

Product Knowledge

  • Develop a strong knowledge of automation products and services to facilitate the sales process

Required Skills:

This is one job where you really need to have top-class communication skills, especially verbally. You need to be a good, smooth, calm, enthusiastic talker. You've got to be able to organise your thoughts to present a clear and convincing argument for potential customers to pursue our products.

  • Highly developed all round interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, networking and negotiation skills.
  • Customer service oriented with a positive, well-motivated attitude.
  • Conscientious, hard-working and driven to improve sales and activity performance beyond targets.
  • Competent IT skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and social networking tools.
  • Experience of Salesforce would be preferred, but not essential.

Required Experience:

  • 3-5 years' proven experience in prospecting and lead generation
  • Experience of B-to-B sales, preferably in enterprise software solutions, in the cloud space and can develop a good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Experience of working collaboratively in a combined sales & marketing team.
  • Can evidence a track record of increasing sales revenue by hitting or exceeding personal targets.
