Pre-sales Consultant (Permanent)

Location: London Country: UK Rate: £80k-£110k per annum

My global customer, is the first true cloud platform for the securities market. They have over 660 clients managing in excess of 1.5 trillion in assets, accessing information securely from any location using any device.

They are seeking a pre-sales consultant to provide technical and functional expertise during client engagements.

As a pre-sales consultant you should have a consultative approach with expert technical, sales, and project management skills, as well as be a self-driven, high-energy individual who can think strategically and commercially on the fly.

As the pre-sales consaultant you will be the bridge between product and sales, and will be responsible for understanding the prospect's business needs and relating the product to the prospect/client in every instance, to secure a sale and scope a deliverable project.

Amongst others, your key role will be:

To conduct on-site Discovery Days or Functional Studies, understanding the client's current infrastructure and scoping out implementation phases for my customers product

Understand key functions of the complete product suite to facilitate scoping client-specific configurations

Frequently give articulate and compelling demonstrations both in person and over the web to small and large groups of prospects

Key Skills:

  • At least 3 years' experience as a successful financial services consultant OR working as pre-sales, solutions specialist or similar for a FinTech
  • You will be a Senior consultant level or above (preferably manager, senior manager, director or equivalent)
  • Will have worked in a practice called "wealth management", "asset management", "asset & wealth management" or similar
  • Previous experience in having sold applications
  • The ability to speak basic "developer" as well as expert "business"
  • Excellent prospect/client interaction skills, with the ability to build relationships
  • Excellent listening, oral, and written communication/presentation skills
  • Willing to travel (25% international, 25% in London)
  • Solid understanding of multi-tiered and service-oriented architectures
