QA Lead Developer- Selenium/Serenity/Java/SQL (Permanent)

Location: Saint Ives, Cambridge Country: UK Rate: 65k

UK-based E-commerce Company requires a QA Lead Developer to come on board in a permanent position, based in Saint Ives, Cambridge.

This key role will involve extensive collaboration between yourself, the Product and Development teams to improve the quality of the deliverables, provide leadership and promote quality assurance inside the development process.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years testing experience.
  • A good familiarity with web sites and the technologies that they are built upon.
  • Demonstrable experience in test automation with Selenium and Serenity, preferably using Java.
  • Proficiency in converting Gherkin-based test scenarios into acceptance tests using Cucumber.
  • Experience in the testing of a website across multiple browsers.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases such as MySQL
  • Familiarity with the testing of APIs.
  • A good appreciation of Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and the tools used to support these.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • A solid grasp of agile methodologies (preferably Scrum).
  • Able to communicate technical and business concepts in a concise, structured fashion to colleagues.
