Pre-Sales Manager - 'Hands-on' - Oracle Applications

Summary

The primary focus of this position is to work collaboratively with this company in a technical sales capacity. Working with operational sales staff process, acting as the technical subject matter expert on the company's core products and services. My client specialise in Oracle Applications in a support and management capacity offering services to partners and end-users alike.

The role is predominantly based from home with occasional travel to London office and Clients in Europe.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

  • Minimum 5 years Oracle Database, Weblogic and EBS architecture and administration experience
  • Ideally candidates will have a technical background etc Oracle Apps DBA
  • Oracle EBS and Oracle Database SME
  • Proven experience with Unix/Linux/Windows operating systems

Personal Skills

  • Experience in a customer-facing, role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect
  • Excellent soft-skills (Communication, Coordination and Negotiation)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be successful in a team environment.
  • Confidence working in a home based/field role and the autonomy that comes with that

Role

  • Develop and run proof of concept engagements with prospects with assistance from the delivery organization.
  • Attend conferences and exhibitions and speak with prospective customers about Company Services.
  • Assist sales with the creation of the scoping/solution sections of proposals, as well as RFP responses.
  • Providing technical - pre-sales support to the sales team.
  • Develop relationships with clients and customers while ensuring great customer satisfaction
  • Acting as a technical resource for sales and marketing.
  • Contribute to the development and subsequent delivery of high-quality technical presentations and/or demonstrations.
  • Map out complex client need and present a solution based company capabilities
  • Work with client purchasing agents, IT department leadership and finance leadership.
  • Adequately explain Company services, provide context for them give description of the client issue.
  • Be the Oracle SME in the room and assist sales personnel to sell Company services.
