Business Analyst - Banking - Risk and Compliance/Processes - This is a long term contract opportunityrequiring profound Banking and Risk knowledge for our Basel based client in the financial sector.

Your tasks:

• Analyzing the working processes of the Banking Compliance department, identifying and articulating processes that can be improved through technology and automation
• Evaluating existing in-house systems to determine their suitability for optimizing Banking Compliance processes
• Documenting functional requirements, collaborating with Analyst Developers to create technical specifications
• Translating requirements into product backlog items in accordance with Agile practices
• Coordinating with other workstreams and IT to align on related items and dependencies

Your experience/knowledge:

• Proven track record in business analysis, including requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and optimization
• Previous experience in systems analysis, particularly in optimizing systems
• Strong technical knowledge with good understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Knowledge of Banking Compliance, in particular GRC systems, Sanctions Screening, and Trade Surveillance would be an advantage
• Language skills: English - fluent in written and spoken
