Bell Business Markets provides a vast array of communications solutions for small, medium, and large organizations. These include managed data and network solutions, cloud computing, conferencing, Web, security solutions and integrated information and communications technology (ICT) services.

Bell Business Markets Atlantic Solutions Development team has immediate requirements for Senior Business Analysts to join their team of professional consultants in Atlantic Canada.

Scope/Accountability:

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring effective IT solutions are implemented for the client. The Senior Analyst will develop effective business and functional designs that will be proposed and implemented for business systems, often while coaching and directing other Analysts. The Senior Analyst will also be able to manage small engagements, taking responsibility and accountability for timelines, deliverables and budgets.

Prime Responsibilities:

  • Assist client with strategy setting exercises, develop judicious/tactical business plans and technical policies and procedures.

  • Meet with the client to identify and document requirements.

  • Work with the technical team towards the development of the solution.

  • Recommend effective solutions to meet client business requirements.

  • Provide functional expertise to the clients expectations.

  • Perform process modeling for business systems.

  • Develop testing plans, including development of test cases

  • Manage and provide guidance for the testing process, including manual and automated testing

  • Prepare and deliver presentations to the client.

  • Provide guidance and coaching to less experienced consultants.

  • Communicates any changes/impacts to client and project team.

  • Have breadth & depth of industry knowledge - skills can be applied to all areas regardless of specialty.

Desired Responsibilities:

  • Ability to act as team lead

  • Plan, organize, and control the activities for a small team

  • Proactively identify project risk and develop mitigating actions/strategies

  • Identify resource requirements and integrate new team members into the team

  • Organize and monitor necessary updates to client documentation when applicable

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on the progress of the team

  • Ensure that project work results are compliant with the stated requirements, priorities, and strategies of the project

  • Manage the scope change control process

  • Raise project issues and risks, as well as quality and scope deviations

Skills/Experience/Education Required:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in client environments

  • Strong written and oral and comprehension communication skills

  • Positive attitude

  • Flexibility, self-motivation and the ability to give and receive feedback

  • Ability to working effectively and collaboratively with others to achieve common goals

  • Ability to multitask effectively over multiple projects

  • Excellent time management, task planning and prioritization skills

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing client requirements

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision

  • Enjoy working in a self-teaching, learning organization

  • Knowledge of industry standards in both information technology and project management

  • Competency with Microsoft Office and with Microsoft Project (or equivalent) project management software

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or Business Administration (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional business experience in project management

  • PMP or Prince2 certification considered to be an asset

Preference will be given to candidates with any of the following:

  • Fluently bilingual in French and English, both oral and written

  • IIBA Certification or other certification

  • Ability to Travel
