Senior Data Analyst (Permanent)

Location: Melbourne Country: Australia
 

Our client is a industry leader, seeking a Senior Data Analyst, who can provide quality data analysis & be able to provide clear and concise feedback on the insights. Someone who has the ability to transfer that data & insights knowledge to business (Communication). Our client is partnered with Google and working on cutting edge technology, this will be very exciting for anyone who wants to work in the Artificial Intelligence space.

Role Purpose

The Senior Data Analyst is accountable for using the prepared data to analyse, interpret and/or visualise it into a meaningful actionable insight to drive direct and indirect growth.

As well as:

Conducting analysis using descriptive analytics techniques to identify data patterns, insights, or tendencies to answer questions such as:

  • What happened
  • Why it happened
  • What could happen and
  • Recommendations on what to do next
  • Managing stakeholder engagement and the scoping, planning and delivery of visualisations/insight for the benefit of the Digital & Data Team, and Business Teams
  • Providing services as agreed and prescribed in the Service Catalogue.

Skills & Experience Required;

  • Strong commercial, P&L experience with a demonstrated track record of revenue growth and ability to meet earnings targets
  • 5 years' experience in data management, Business Intelligence and insight leader
  • Strong project management skills and experienced in agile project methodology highly desirable
  • Critical and objective thinker with strong, cross functional problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated success in facilitating across functional teams to achieve alignment and shared understanding
  • Superior presentation and facilitation skills
  • Ability to understand, organise and communicate complex information in an easily understandable format tailored to a variety of audiences
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to juggle priorities while delivering exceptional work within the required timeframes
  • Perseverance and resilience to manage setbacks and work within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate and influence without authority, moving a cross-functional team toward a common vision or goal
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to change tact to suit an audience/situation
  • Any experience in Google Luca, Google Analytics and Google Search will be advantageous
