Overview:Be a key technical member of the ArcGIS Network Analyst development team working to design and implement efficient network structures and algorithms for solving cutting-edge transportation routing problems. Responsibilities:Design and implement data structures for accessing large transportation networks efficientlyOptimize existing and new code to reduce memory usage and increase performance and scalabilityAdd new capabilities to the existing network dataset solutionTroubleshoot and diagnose root causes for incorrect software behavior and failuresWrite comprehensive technical specifications and design documentationParticipate throughout the software development life cycleRequirements:Good knowledge of data structures related to graph algorithms, along with building large datasetsIn-depth knowledge of C++, COM and STLTwo or more years of experience in software engineeringAbility to clearly analyze/describe a problem and propose a solutionExcellent design, development, and debugging skillsAbility to work with multiple teams and to prioritize requirementsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMastera s or Ph.D. in computer science, math, or related field Recommended Qualifications:Knowledge of GIS, logistics, and transportation networksBackground in designing, analyzing, and developing graph network algorithmsExperience in code profiling and performance optimizationExperience with parallel programming and concurrencyStrong understanding of databasesExperience compiling routable networks from street dataThe Company:Our passion for improving quality of life through geography is at the heart of everything we do.
